Attorney & Staff

Denis has been providing legal counseling to help clients plan well for their families since 1979. He first joined his father in the practice of law, and over the years, their firm evolved into Legacy Law Associates.. Denis focuses on estate planning involving wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, charitable trusts, life insurance trusts, and related planning strategies. Licensed in 1974 as a Certified Public Accountant, he uses this tax knowledge and experience to advise clients on the impact that gift, estate and income tax has on planning, seeking to minimize or avoid tax on his clients and their families. He encourages clients to integrate asset protection into their planning when appropriate and reasonable.
Bob is from Monmouth County, New Jersey, and was raised in the house where his father was born. He graduated from Boston University School of Law with a Juris Doctorate and was admitted to the New Jersey Bar. For the next 20 years, Bob was the managing partner of a transactional law firm, which focused on real property, zoning, estate planning, and probate. He also served three years as a Judge of the New Jersey State Division of Tax Appeals. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1992 and has been a partner in Legacy Estate Planners law firm since 1998. His law practice today is devoted to serving clients by providing counseling and planning designed to address and preserve each client’s family’s values and unique goals.
Ed grew up in Ormond Beach and attended Tomoka Elementary, Ormond Beach Middle School, and Spruce Creek High School. He attended Boston College for his undergraduate study and earned a law degree from Tulane Law School. Ed first worked for a national law firm in Kansas City, Missouri, practicing corporate environmental law for Fortune 500 companies. He also spent six years as a staff attorney at the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association, helping the indigent, children in foster care, and veterans get legal help. Ed helps clients plan well through wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and designations of health care surrogates. Ed assists clients in court proceedings in probate and guardianship when things do not go according to plan.

Troy Egeberg

Office Manager / Estate and Trust Paralegal

Troy is a native of Daytona Beach, Florida, and joined Legacy Law Associates in 1996 as a Legal Assistant working her way up as Office Manager. She is now a Florida registered Paralegal working primarily in Estate and Trust Administration. Her work experience and wealth of knowledge in Probate Administration have also allowed her to be a resource for other law firms and paralegals. Troy is more than just a detailed person. She is a people person, a legal “Florence Nightingale” to our clients. Troy is married to Joseph Egeberg, and they have two beautiful daughters and one grandson.

Lee Jones

Estate Planning Coordinator
Lee moved from West Virginia to Ormond Beach in 2021 and joined Legacy Law Associates in 2022. He started as the Client Coordinator, but quickly stepped into the Estate Planning Coordinator position. With a strong background in Customer Service, he enjoys interacting with clients and building a good rapport with them.

Leigh Ann has been with Legacy Law since 2022. Before joining the firm, she worked in retail for twenty years as a Divisional Vice President of store operations across four states. Leigh Ann is most likely the first point of contact and is committed to providing exceptional service. Leigh Ann is happily married to Robert and the mother of four children and two grandchildren. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, the outdoors, traveling, and watching the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Rachelle moved from California to Daytona Beach in 2001 and joined Legacy Law Associates in 2005. Rachelle is our Office Finance Manager not to mention taking care of many of our “behind the scenes” office needs.
